Julia Nißlein
Julia shot her first little films as a child with her father´s home camera. After studying international business administration at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, she worked as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group on media and restructuring projects, among others in Doha and Paris. Through her various positions within Bavaria - from assistant to top management of Bremedia to the producer of the fairy tale "The devil with three golden hairs" - she got to know and love the film business more and more. Due to her business background she was also responsible for financing the feature films "The beloved sisters" and "The taste of apple seeds". She expanded her knowledge with an additional producer degree at BAF, the Bavarian Academy for Television and Digital Media, where she graduated as best in class. As a freelance producer her jobs included the financing of the feature film "Whatever happens" and development and sales of various series such as the innovative project "Für Umme", as well as creating social media strategies for feature films. Switching sides towards distribution she became Manager German Productions and Acquisitions for Studiocanal and in charge of German feature films such as "My Blind Date with Life", "Tschick", “Mullewapp II” or "Benjamin Blümchen". Afterwards, she worked in a similar position for Warner Bros Germany, where she supervised films such as "Vielmachglas" or "Cut off", at the same time promoting a number of new developments and supporting the series department. After her maternity leave, Julia returned to film production. Since March 2019 she has worked as a producer for Dreamtool. Julia lives and works mainly in Berlin.
