Michael Tinney studied business administration in Munich and switched to the film industry in 2007. He initially worked as a production coordinator and in post-production on various cinema and TV productions. From 2013, he initially worked as a freelance production manager before taking over responsibility for the entire production-technical area as production manager at Bantry Bay Productions GmbH in 2020. Since April 2023, Michael Tinney has been in charge of the central production department of the Rosebank Group for the fiction division and has since also been responsible for the productions of Dreamtool Entertainment.
